Marriage. . . .Sacred or Safe?

In today's segment we discuss the essence and purpose of marriage.

God's plan for mankind has always been the act of "fellowship". In marriage it is taken to the next level of fellowship known as "a union". Based of course first on love, then the relationship that makes two one.
Our foundations should generally be biblically based, as God intended; however, as the generations became more compromising, the marriages became points of refuge rather than the anticipated haven (two become one). Instead of being a sacred joining, it became a moral obligation for reasons that are not even good reasons to even get married.

Some marry just to get out of the house, some because of pregnancy, some for just lustful attractions, many for convenience, others for money, some for security, and a host of various intents that do not justify the act.

God has set a desire in each of us to have meaningful and fulfilled companionship. Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. . . . and when pursued in the right manner, it becomes a sacred and lasting event. After all, it is designed to be the most meaningful and trusting relationship; one that mirrors God's relationship with mankind. (if accepted)

I submit to you today, take a closer look at your marriage. Take back the essence. Re establish your meaning, even from past mistakes. It's never too late. You can never change the past; but you can impact your future. Now is the time to present your marriage Sacred!... and then present it God. He'll make up what you think you're lacking.
Live, love each other for who you are. . . and have a wonderful Christmas Holiday and always remember . . . . .

You are Blessed!
