Marriage. . .also a gift from God!

SEASON'S GREETINGS everyone, and I pray that this holiday will be a blessed one for you all.

As we enter into this holiday and the closing of the year, let us not forget the real "reason for the season", which is God's gift to this world Christ Jesus. Although humanity has adopted the act of giving during this time, it's also important to remember that Christ's gift was not only Salvation of the soul, but He gave us "Marriage" to those who choose, and to everyone else He gave us "fellowship".

The important thing to gleam here is that our marriages are precious. You see there are some things that money can't buy; and marriage is one of them. Even the scriptures tell us: 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. . . .and if there ever was a time for us to hold fast, it's now. Hold fast meaning cherish, appreciate, never letting go, clinging to, that act of love and faith in each other, to set the world on notice, that you and your spouse have become "no more twain but one flesh" as noted in Matthews :19.

Marriage is like a season that never ends. Wow! isn't that powerful. . . and as we give of our selves to each other in the marriage bond, we become stronger together. It's the giving part that God has instructed us to do; and when we have put aside selfishness and self centeredness and realize that it's about the two of you and not just you, you then take on that attributes of our heavenly Father, giving. After all: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In my closing today, I am reminded of the holy scripture that reads:Matthew 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. . . .and marriage is that one pearl. Cherish it, hold to it, thank God for it, and appreciate it.
Marriage God's way will make all your Christmas' be bright!
Have a Happy Holiday and remember:

YOU ARE BLESSED!
